Carrier Pay Guide is a free, independent resource for new trucking companies and owner-operators. It's run by David of Podske LLC, Massachusetts.

We started it because brand-new carriers get flooded with sales calls and scams in their first weeks, and it's hard to tell who's straight with you. Our job is to give plain answers, link to the official sources, and compare options honestly.

A little about me: I'm a finance major, and I've been looking for practical ways to help newer truckers. Money is the part of trucking where a finance background helps most. A new carrier can run every load right and still get squeezed, because the fuel and insurance bills arrive weeks before the broker pays. Carrier Pay Guide is my attempt to put the straight answers in one place: what to set up first, what each way of getting paid really costs, and which "official" messages to ignore. If something here is wrong or missing, tell me and I'll fix it.

How we make money

The site is free to use. We plan to earn money through referral fees: some companies we may list, mainly freight factoring companies, may pay us a referral fee if you sign up with them through us. We don't list any paid partners yet. When we do, every such link will be marked "Paid link" right next to it, and we'll still tell you the downsides and the questions to ask. We don't take money to rank anyone higher, and you should always compare the rates you're quoted.

What we are not

• Not FMCSA, the U.S. DOT or any government agency.
• Not a lender, factoring company, broker or dispatcher.
• Not a law firm or accountant. This is general information, so check anything important with the official source or a professional.

How we keep it accurate

• Every legal step links to the official rule (eCFR) or agency page.
• Each guide shows the date we last checked it.
• Every page has a "Was this useful?" box. We read every note and update pages based on them.
